Lewis industrial grips have many oil field, marine and industrial uses, such as taking tension out of lines on offshore rigs, mooring lines for barges, and for pulling any cable, rope or electric line from 1/4" to 8" diameter.

Lewis Snake Grips

The Lewis Snake Grip expands or contracts to grip different or identical cable and/or rope sizes as per the customers needs.

Save time stringing up, changing and unstringing, because the snake requires no extra tools. The swivel and swing link go smoothly through blocks and prevent line twisting.

Install new cable by using old existing cable as pulling line. Always seize the ends of the grips by banding or taping.

Special Head Grips

In addition to our regular grips, we illustrate some of the special grips manufactured. All styles are fabricated from highest quality flexible Aircraft Strand Steel. These may be furnished from Model JL-75 through Model E, or we are glad to fabricate special purpose grips for varied applications. All special heads available with steel lift eye, as illustrated in Model TSO and DLE. Available in stainless, galvanized, coated or uncoated wire.

Swivels

Directional Boring Swivels

Lewis Sealed Ball Bearing Directional Boring Swivels prevent equipments rotational torque from interfering with the product being pulled. In a typical boring application, the swivel is attached behind the reamer head and to the pipe or cable being pulled through the bore. They are permanently sealed to keep contaminants out and never require lubrication.
